SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

This is a dynamic, hands-on position with a company that has been in business for over 25 years under
the same management. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join the team and work into the role
of Controller within 1 – 2 years.

As the Senior Accountant your responsibilities in this role may include, but not be limited to:

– Full cycle accounting
– Payroll (Union and non-union)
– Account reconciliations
– Multiple monthly reports
– Month end and year end journal entries
– Financial statement preparation
– Year end working paper files
– Ensure compliance with G.A.A.P.
– Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls
– Other duties as required

What You Bring To The Table
The successful candidate will possess and be able to demonstrate the following:

– 3 to 5 years of Senior Accounting experience
– Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
– Accounting designation or equivalent
– Prior working knowledge of construction accounting
– Prior project cost accounting
– A roll-up the sleeves work ethic and ability to implement changes
– Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple tasks,
deadlines, requirements, and decisions.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills

It’s a Bonus If You Have:

– Experience in assisting with implementation and rollout of new Financial systems
– Experience in manufacturing industry
– Experience with inventory systems
– Experience with Sage 300 or other ERP systems
