SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

This is a dynamic, hands-on position with a company that has been in business for over 25 years under
the same management. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join the team and work into the role
of Controller within 1 – 2 years.

As the Senior Accountant your responsibilities in this role may include, but not be limited to:

- Full cycle accounting
- Payroll (Union and non-union)
- Account reconciliations
- Multiple monthly reports
- Month end and year end journal entries
- Financial statement preparation
- Year end working paper files
- Ensure compliance with G.A.A.P.
- Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls
- Other duties as required

What You Bring To The Table
The successful candidate will possess and be able to demonstrate the following:

- 3 to 5 years of Senior Accounting experience
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Accounting designation or equivalent
- Prior working knowledge of construction accounting
- Prior project cost accounting
- A roll-up the sleeves work ethic and ability to implement changes
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple tasks,
deadlines, requirements, and decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

It’s a Bonus If You Have:

- Experience in assisting with implementation and rollout of new Financial systems
- Experience in manufacturing industry
- Experience with inventory systems
- Experience with Sage 300 or other ERP systems
